WebP to JPG Converter

Convert WebP to JPG locally on your device. Compatible everywhere, nothing uploaded.

Why convert WebP to JPG?

WebP is supported in modern browsers, but JPG remains the universal format for photo sharing — every email client, social platform, photo printer, and image editor handles it. WebP transparency is dropped on conversion (JPG has no alpha channel), so any transparent background becomes white (or whatever flatten color you choose). This converter encodes JPG at high quality (default 85) — everything happens in your browser.

About WebP

WebP supports both lossy and lossless encoding plus transparency.
  • Lossy WebP is roughly 25–35% smaller than equivalent-quality JPG
  • Transparency is dropped when converting to JPG
  • Animated WebP only converts the first frame to a static JPG

Frequently asked questions

What happens to WebP transparency when converting to JPG?
JPG doesn't support transparency, so transparent regions are flattened against a background color (white by default — adjustable in Settings). If you need to preserve transparency, convert to PNG instead.
