YouTube QR Code Generator

QR that opens any YouTube URL — channel, video, playlist, or jump to a timestamp.

What kinds of YouTube URLs can I encode?

Any YouTube URL works — channel pages, individual videos, playlists, timestamped video links, even YouTube Shorts. When scanned, the URL opens in the YouTube app on mobile (or browser on desktop). For maximum reliability, prefer the canonical youtube.com URL over the youtu.be short URL — both work, but some non-YouTube QR scanners handle the long form better. Encoding is 100% client-side.

About YouTube URLs

Multiple URL formats all resolve to the same content.
  • Channel: youtube.com/@handle or youtube.com/channel/UCxxxx
  • Video: youtube.com/watch?v=ID or youtu.be/ID
  • Timestamp: append &t=120 (seconds) — youtube.com only, not youtu.be
  • Shorts: youtube.com/shorts/ID
  • Playlist: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxxxx

Frequently asked questions

Should I use youtube.com or youtu.be?
youtube.com/watch?v=ID is the canonical form and the most universally compatible. youtu.be/ID is YouTube's official short URL and works fine in modern scanners but adds one extra redirect.
